The BGS is the national organization of Belgian ophthalmologists who are particularly interested in glaucoma. It currently has 249 members, i.e. 161 Dutch-speaking and 88 French-speaking ophthalmologists. The BGS was founded in 1994 and is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that aims at keeping the public and professionals informed on all aspects of glaucoma.
